Cardboard recycling is an important issue. We found that people were not aware of what cardboard could do, so we designed a cardboard pop-up store where we wanted to show visitors the possibilities of cardboard.

This time, we introduced our three concepts to five groups of people and let them experience our prototypes. Some of the participants were the same people from our primary study. So this time it was easy to see how their attitudes changed after the interviews.
Amazon Play
A pop-up store designed to give visitors a complete fun and interactive journey, raise their awareness of recycled cardboard and enhance Amazon's branding.
Invitation design
We invite visitors to bring cardboard to visit our pop-up store, so we designed the invitation to instruct users how to cut the cardboard. We also send a cardboard basket with the invitation, which will help users to carry the cardboards.

Pop-up store design
In the experience store, visitors will experience many activities made of cardboard, such as cardboard products exhibition, cardboard entertainment, cardboard craft store and cardboard pulp 3D printing experience.
Cardboard Pulp 3D Printing & AR Animation
Designer Beer Holthuis has proven that pulp can be used as a special 3D printed material (http://www.beerholthuis.com/portfolio/paper-pulp-printer/). In the last part, visitors can experience cardboard pulp 3D printing, how much material they can use is based on how much cardboard they bring. Also, before printing, users can watch an AR animation that will show the process of turning cardboard into pulp. The process of recycling cardboard in the factory is also done by converting it into pulp, so this step will also allow visitors to understand the recycling process.
Cardboard craft store
Cardboard craft store is the end of the tour, which is also an open area. If visitors are interested in the exhibits or cardboard guns they have seen in the exhibition, they can purchase them here as souvenirs.
